Much as I enjoyed posting about the croissants, I think that was my last ambitious project for a while. I'm juggling too many things a the moment (work, vacation, kids, pregnancy, looking for a new home), and must therefore take a break from blogging. As soon as things settle down I'll be back. Thanks for checking in every now and then!

Hi Astrid,
Good luck with everything!!
I hope to see you back very soon.
Greetings,

First: Good luck, Astrid!
If you're interested in an article about Brownies (remember discussion about Alton Brown's brownies?): I found something interesting in Alice Medrich's "Bittersweet" which arrived yesterday at my house. Medrich has great explanations which ingredients produce chewy or moist or dense, sweet or bittersweet brownies - with or without crust. If you're interested in the article, send me an email (or comment on my brownies).
Raul - Thanks, I hope to come back soon as I already miss the blog.
Claudia - Do you know, I have the book myself, but never really read the section on brownies! Will email you directly.
Welcome back home!

I just ran into your blog and am impressed by your baking prowess! In fact, I'm impressed by anyone who can make croissants! Have a good break.
I just found your blog through Becks & Posh...and will continue to read it. I understand how things can get caught up...writing a blog can become so addictive that regular life sometimes suffers. Enjoy your rest.
Anonymous husband - OK, I'm trying to stay away from the computer, but I miss it!
Betty C. - Thanks so much! I have to say, I learned a lot about baking simply by blogging and reading other bloggers blogs.
Culinary Cowgirl - Thanks for visiting. Actually, I couldn't resist posting again today. Yes blogging is addictive!
